What is a placenta essence?
Placenta essence or mother essence is a small bit of the placenta that had been distilled in purified water. It is as it says the essence and the soul of the placenta and can be used by both baby and mama to help in times of stress throughout their lives. Mother essence has been used to really help baby when teething or when feeling a bit anxious.
What is a placenta tincture?
Placenta tincture is similar to the mother essence but more intense. It is distilled in alcohol for 6 weeks and heals on an energetic and vibrational level. Placenta tincture would be especially recommended for mama's on their last baby as it really helps with PMS and Menopause.
Can I have my placenta encapsulated if I have had a c-section?
The simple answer is yes.
Can I have my placenta encapsulated if I have a home birth?
You surely can, I can come to your house and collect your placenta or I can encapsulate your placenta in your own house if you'd like.
Can I have my placenta encapsulated if I have a water birth?
Once you birth the placenta outside of the birthing pool you most certainly can.
What if I am on medication?
If you have been taking medication throughout your pregnancy make sure your GP is okay with it.
Can I take the capsules if I am sick?
The healing properties of the placenta are based on the yin and yang concept so if you are experiencing an imbalance of yin or yang (hot or cold) it is advised that you don't take the capsules until you are feeling better.
Why is the placenta smoothie recommended?
The placenta is packed with vitamins, minerals and hormones. If you choose to go for a smoothies you are getting 100% of the nutrition on offer where as when you dehydrate the placenta some of the nutrients will be destroyed. This is one of the most powerful home remedies you can ever take.
How are the specialists trained?
Specialists complete an online course covering the developmental biology of the placenta, the history of placentophagy (placenta consumption), and complete a final exam.
Once you have passed your exam you have to complete certificates in HACCP and Infection Control and in Food Safety.
Following this all specialist are taught the practical encapsulation process by a trained and certified placenta specialist.
